I feel like the romance genre is saturated with predictable tropes, but some series still break the mold in subtle ways. As we move into autumn, I’m craving romance manga that feel real — flawed characters, tension, maybe a bit of comedy.
One that’s coming up that caught my eye:

Sawaranide Kotesashi-kun — It’s part romance + comedy + some sports vibe; also has an anime adaptation set for October 2025. Nice timing to get into it before the adaptation drops.
