Synopsis
Rei Kiriyama is a skilled young shogi player living all by himself in an empty apartment. He used to be a child prodigy, but he also lost his family and doesn’t have much of a life outside his board game. Life can be tough for Rei, but he has a few close friends who help him out. Luckily, Rei gets a chance to start fresh.
This story won several famous awards, including the Grand Prize at the 4th Manga Taishou Award, the 35th Kodansha Manga Award, the Grand Prize at the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize, and the Grand Prize at the Japan Media Arts Festival.
