Synopsis

When Raku Ichijou was a kid, he made a secret promise with his childhood friend, keeping a pendant as a souvenir while she took the key. He’s always longed to meet his old sweetheart, but his dreams are crushed after Chitoge Kirisaki accidentally knees him in the face.

Raku is a typical high schooler, but his family runs the powerful yakuza group, the Shuei-Gumi faction. He gets tangled up in family business when he’s forced into a relationship with Chitoge, daughter of a rival gang leader’s boss!

Despite their endless arguments, they manage to trick everyone with their fake relationship. Then, Raku learns that Chitoge has a mysterious key from her past that she can’t recall… Two more girls also enter the picture with keys of their own – Kosaki Onodera and Marika Tachibana!

Amid this romantic whirlwind, Raku faces even more troubles as his class picks Romeo and Juliet as the play for the school festival. Will Raku and Chitoge, the fake lovebirds, pull it off and make the play a hit?
