Synopsis

Hi there! It’s Yotsuba Koiwai, AKA Yotsuba. I just moved to a new house with Daddy, far away from our old one. Moving is exciting because folks wave! I also made friends with the neighbors, though one of them acted like a stranger Daddy warned me about, but everything turned out okay. I hope we can play a lot together, eat ice cream, and do other fun things. By the way, do you want to play with me too?

This is a comic created by Kio Shimoku. It received an Excellence Award at the Japan Media Arts Festival in 2006 and the Grand Prize of the 20th Osamu Tezuka Cultural Prize in 2016. It was also nominated for the Manga Taishō award in 2008, the 12th and 20th Osamu Tezuka Cultural Prize in 2008 and 2016, and even for the Eisner Award in the “Best Publication for Kids” category.
